Monolithic Fire-Resistant Glass

A single tempered pane providing flame and smoke containment (E-class) for 30–120 minutes. Lightweight, optically clear, and easy to install — ideal for internal partitions, vision panels, and smoke barriers where insulation is not required. Compatible with standard and frameless systems.

Laminated Fire-Resistant Glass

Float glass layers bonded with intumescent interlayers. Under fire, interlayers expand into an insulating shield — delivering both integrity and insulation (EI) for 30–120 minutes. The cool unexposed face enables safe passage. Suited for stairwells, fire doors, and atria.

Insulating Fire-Resistant Glass

A fire-rated IGU pairing laminated EI/EW glass with a sealed cavity. Delivers simultaneous fire compartmentation and thermal insulation for exterior façades and curtain walls. Outer pane accepts Low-E coatings and tints — meeting energy codes without compromising fire safety.

Nano-Silica Fire-Resistant Glass

Nano-silica interlayers react instantly to fire, forming a rigid insulating barrier. Achieves EI-class protection up to 120 minutes with minimal thickness. UV-stable with no yellowing — the premium choice for projects demanding maximum fire safety and visual lightness.

Certified Protection Up to 120 Minutes

All Vermat fire-resistant glass systems are third-party tested and classified to EN 13501-2 (E, EW, EI), BS 476, GB 15763.1, and related standards. Integrity and insulation ratings from 30 to 120 minutes are available, with each project receiving full documentation for regulatory approval.

High Transparency & Visual Clarity

Fire safety need not come at the cost of aesthetics. Our E and EW glasses utilize clear float substrates, while multi-layer EI glasses maintain exceptional light transmission — achieving the same visual openness as standard architectural glass, suitable for frameless butt-glazed systems and point-fixed assemblies.

Compatibility with All Major Framing Systems

Vermat fire-resistant glass is pre-tested and certified for use with steel, aluminium, and timber framing systems. We provide full glazing and fixing recommendations to ensure the glass, frame, seals, and intumescent accessories work as an integrated fire barrier — not isolated components.

Custom Sizes, Shapes & Combinations

Standard rectangular panels are available up to 2000 × 4000 mm. Non-standard geometries — arched, curved, trapezoid — can be custom-fabricated to project needs. EI and EW glasses can be combined into fire-rated Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) for external applications, preserving thermal performance alongside fire protection.

Impact Safety & Security Options

For locations requiring dual function — fire protection plus impact safety or security — Vermat offers fire-rated laminated combinations tested to EN 356 (P1A–P8B) and EN 12600 (1B1). These units provide simultaneous fire compartmentation and protection against accidental impact, manual attack, or blast.
