When threat meets transparency, Vermat Bullet-Proof Glass stands as the invisible line of defense. Engineered by bonding multiple layers of high-strength glass with advanced PVB, EVA, or polycarbonate interlayers under extreme heat and pressure, each unit is a precisely laminated composite designed to absorb, dissipate, and stop ballistic impact. The glass may crack, but it does not shatter — the interlayers hold the structure intact, preventing projectile penetration and spalling on the protected side. Certified to international ballistic standards from handgun resistance through high-powered rifle protection, Vermat bullet-proof glass delivers the clarity and confidence required by embassies, banks, government buildings, luxury residences, and high-risk commercial facilities. Where security cannot be compromised, neither can the view.

Multi-Layered Composite Engineering

Our bullet-proof glass is constructed from alternating layers of float or toughened glass and PVB, EVA, or polycarbonate bonding films. This laminated architecture absorbs kinetic energy progressively — each layer contributes to stopping the projectile, with the final layers preventing spalling and ensuring occupant safety on the protected side.

Spall Protection & No-Spall Configurations

Standard configurations feature an anti-spall interlayer on the protected face, preventing glass fragments from detaching into the occupied space. For higher threat levels, we offer no-spall (NS) configurations tested to ensure zero fragmentation release — critical for VIP interiors, control rooms, and areas where personnel stand in immediate proximity to the glass.

Multi-Threat Integration

Vermat glass can combine ballistic protection with additional performance requirements within a single unit — including forced-entry resistance (RC3–RC6 per EN 1627), blast resistance, fire resistance, and acoustic insulation. This eliminates the need for multiple separate glazing assemblies in high-security building envelopes.

Optical Clarity & Custom Dimensions

Despite its robust composite structure, Vermat bullet-proof glass maintains high visible light transmission — typically 70–85% depending on threat level — with low optical distortion. Panels are fabricated to project-specific dimensions: standard maximum 2400 × 4800 mm, with larger units available for premium residential and commercial applications. Thickness ranges from 18 mm (handgun) to 80 mm+ (rifle).

Integration with Framing & Building Systems

Protection is only as strong as its support. Vermat provides detailed shop drawings and coordination with certified framing, door, and hardware partners to ensure the entire glazed assembly — glass, frame, fixings, and seals — meets the specified ballistic rating as a tested system.
